Food volunteers are making a difference.
Food Box and Care Box Volunteers
With the help of dependable volunteers, our Food Boxes and Care Boxes are delivered locally and internationally providing relief from poverty, disease, and disaster. You can organize a Food Drive and/or Care Box Outreach at your church, school, business, or organization. We provide the empty boxes, a list of needed supplies, and people from your center fill them. Find a variety of volunteering opportunities through our Box Programs.
Food Distribution Volunteers
Our Southern California-based Food Distribution Program is designed to care for those in need. To orchestrate this program takes the coordination of many kind-hearted individuals. Generous restaurant, bakery, and market owners donate food to our Los Angles warehouse regularly. We welcome additional support. Volunteers organize the incoming food and clothing deliveries at our headquarters. Warehouse hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with a variety of volunteer times available. Churches, businesses, organizations, and neighbors volunteer their services Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to pick up the warehouse goods, and give it to people in their community. Add your center to the ever-growing list.
Food and Toy Drive Volunteers
Volunteers assist with the food distribution process by checking in families, working at the dairy station, working at the clothing station, working at check-out, bagging groceries, carrying groceries out, restocking, and cleaning. Elementary students may volunteer with their parents. Junior H.S. students, High School students, and adult volunteers are also welcome. Please call 661-702-8852 to sign up.
