Did you know that of the seventeen largest industrialized countries in the world, the United States has the highest incidence of children in poverty? 1 in 5 children in this country live in poverty!

Children who suffer from lack of fresh vegetables and fruits in their diet suffer from growth retardation. They have reduced motor development and mental functions, and those who have severe undernutrition have less brain growth and lower activity levels. Malnourishment causes early irreversable damage to intellectual and physical developement!

If the poor recieve a more balanced diet(plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables), it reduces stress, domestic violence, and improves the overall well being of the family.

This is why CNI has a tremendous burden to help provide food, medical supplies and health services in Los Angeles and around the
World. God has used CNI to distribute millions of dollars of food and supplies to the hungry, homeless. oppressed and needy of our city, the American Indian Reservations, and 12 other states and 26 countries. The primary mission of CNIis to meet the needs of children, and to share the love of God's truth to all who will listen.

CNI is having our first ever "charity golf classic" tournament on monday, August 30th at calabassas country club. We have plenty of spots available and would love for you to come join us. If you or someone you know, likes to play golf, this would be a great opprotunity to play on a very well maintained and private course. The cost is 165 and that covers:continental breakfast, lunch, steak and chicken dinner, and 100 worth of gift items. There will be a putting contest and a chipping contest.
The proceeds will go towards our Holiday Food distribution program. This program includes the distribution of turkeys or chickens, rice, beans, potatoes, fresh roduce, and toys through out the inner cities for Christmas.

Even if you are not a golfer, we hope you will participate by being a sponsor, provide a door prize, or Assisting in some other way.
If you are interested in coming to the Awards Banquet only, that would be great too.

You really do make a difference.
Many have mentioned to me if our care boxes really do make a difference. Allow me to hsare with you what a pastor recently told me. "we have had an increase in our church atendance because of our food program. The reason for the increase is because your care boxes give us the opportunity to go directly to their home and share with them that God loves them and has a plan for their life."

We have seenmany famillies acept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior because of volunteers who deliver these boxes adn spend their time and learn from one another about their lives.
